Christian Education for Grade-School Age Kids

Christian Education for children in pre-K through 6th grade is Sunday School and a whole lot more at St. Paul's.  Our philosophy of Christian Education is that all are part of God's family. We nurture childrens' growth as Christians in age-appropriate ways.

Children are welcome at all of St. Paul's services.

Sunday School, a.k.a. Church School, meets from 9:15 a.m. to 10:10 a.m., between our Sunday morning services. (There are adult education offerings at the same time.) This year the Church School is using the Episcopal Children's Curriculum ("ECC"). ECC uses biblical storytelling, the study of church traditions and participation in worship to teach Christian faith. Four times a year instead of Church School we offer an instructed Eucharist for children during the Church School time.

Wednesday activities for children include Festival Choir, Chapel Choir, and Children's Activities during St. Paul's Café. Please see our Christian Education brochure for the current topics and activities.

To enroll your child(ren) in Church School, please fill out an enrollment form available in the nursery room or from the church office.  Our Church School policies are available from the church office.

To help out with the Church School or the Wednesday Children's Activities, please contact the Director of Christian Education, Linda Ashe Ford.

Church school starts with a circle of song and prayer.

Beginners Church school for the youngest children.

Primary Church school for grades 1 through 3.

Intermediate Church school for grades 4 and 5.

O Almighty God, who pours out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to you, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
