Journey to Adulthood

Journey to Adulthood, or J2A, is our Christian Formation program for teens. Teens can join at their age-group level when they come to St. Paul's. J2A includes includes three programs: Rite 13, a preparatory program in the year the young person turns 13; Journey to Adulthood; and Young Adults in the Church (YAC).

Each group is mentored by two adults.  Groups progress together with their mentors throughout the program, exploring and learning about their Christian identity together. Each group makes one urban adventure and one pilgrimage.

Each group meets at a time convenient for the members and their mentors. For more information and times of meetings, please contact the Director of Christian Education, Linda Ashe Ford.

For grown-ups: nurturing our youth into adulthood within the church is one of the greatest formative gifts you can give. To find out more about being a J2A mentor, please contact the Director of Christian Education, Linda Ashe Ford.

Support Journey To Adulthood: Returnable bottles may always be dropped off at Don's Redemption Center, Harpswell Rd (behind Brunswick Variety). Say they are for St. Paul's. Your nickels add up to support our J2A on their pilgrimage and in their activities. Thank you for your generosity.

O Almighty God, who pours out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to you, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
