Twelfth Night Celebration

On the twelfth night the Three Wise Men came to worship the new born King and so on the sixth of January, which Gil was quick to explain was actually one day late but much easier to schedule, we had a celebration in the great hall.  A wonderful dinner was prepared by the Young Adults in the Church group.

After dinner a visit was made by the kings themselves.  They led us in a Christmas Carol with all singing the refrain. .                                                             Gil was both the master of ceremonies
and also played while we sang.

Later a special cake was served in which two pieces contained a prize to name the king and the queen.

The lucky winners will also lead our Mardi Gras parade next month

The evening concluded with a family game called Biblical Tableau where each table had to arrange it's
people to act out a scene from the bible and everyone else had to guess what it was.  No movement was
allowed to help with the guessing.  In the picture below this group is portraying the nativity

A fun evening of fellowship and even a little education was had by all.  Many thanks to all the people
who worked so hard to prepare the food, lead us in song, and handle all the set up and clean up.

Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising
